I think they do still wear whites on occasion but most of the military branches seem to have gone to camo for everyday uniforms and no more shiny shoes! Did you know that by satellite the U.S troops were always easily identified by their shiny shoes? Amazing, huh? Gilmore (AS-16). How the town has changed since way back when - we were not even allowed to be on Duval Street because of the "dirty" bookstores and "ladies of the evening".
