It's a complicated story involving a man.

the heart wants what the heart wants

I took a writing workshop yesterday.  No, I don't want to be a writer, but I am in the process of reworking my website and I want my "About" page to be a little bit more interesting then the standard "Hello and welcome to my blah blah blah....."  So I took a workshop titled "You had me at Hello". The workshop was intended to help writers craft compelling first lines and paragraphs for their stories or books.  I want to give people a reason to spend some time on my website and learn more about me and my work.

The workshop was given by Hillary Jordan, a current artist in residence at The Studios of Key West. Hillary has published 2 novels and the first line of the book she is working on while she is in Key West is, "When she woke, she was red." It was really interesting to work in another creative medium for a short while.  It's good to stretch creatively.

I learned a lot and I think I have a compelling first line for my new about page.

It's a complicated story involving a man.

I did work on the rest of it some more this morning and when it's finished you can all be my proof readers.

In the meantime work in the studio continues.  The wall fish that I took to Sodu Gallery in Key West sold before they were on the wall so more are in the works.

Margaritaville Key West has placed some great orders.  They ordered so many of their new exclusive coasters that I couldn't get them into one kiln load.

I continue to amuse myself with these fun imprinted beads.  Stamping is so much fun. I love using it in layered paintings and now I am enjoying it in clay.

I hope everyone's day goes well.
